Fellowship Church’s Fall Retreat Theme

Rollin, one of the campus pastors at Fellowship Church in College Station, Texas, asked me if I would create a visual theme for a fall retreat titled, “Otherworldly Courage.” The goal was to represent a contrast in ideas of courage using Biblical imagery. I created this gif that ran before each main session.

My process for creating a motion graphic begins with sketching out an idea by hand, roughly animating it to try to capture the over all idea and flow, creating style frames for the final piece, and then finally putting it all together in a powerful animated gif that’ll blow your socks off.
